NEMT Driver
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
$20/hour
Starting wage
Position Overview
Provide caring and responsible wheelchair and ambulatory transportation for patients to and from their medical appointments throughout Washington, Multnomah, and Clackamas Counties.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport passengers safely to medical appointments
- Provide door-to-door assistance with compassion
- Load and unload passengers and belongings
- Follow schedules and GPS navigation
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out
- Complete documentation and maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch
- Participate in ongoing training opportunities
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Minimum 1 year uninterrupted driving experience
- Pass federal criminal background check
- Less than 2 moving violations in 5 years
- No more than 1 accident in 5 years
- Pass initial and random drug testing
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs
- Capable of pushing/pulling wheelchair passengers
